Portuguese of Nova Scotia
The Portuguese Social Club of Nova Scotia was founded on October 14th, 1974. It was founded by Manuel Ribeiro, Carlos Batista, and Joaquim Leitao. Together, they shared a dream to establish an organization to welcome new families into the Portuguese community of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. They began by compiling a list of interested people to form the first Membership.
